Inlays and Onlays
Inlays and onlays can be an excellent option when tooth damage is too advanced for a regular filling, but a full crown is not necessary.
Placement Of Inlays And Onlays
To place inlays and onlays, Dr. Shlafer first applies local anesthesia. Then he carefully removes your dental decay and fabricates the inlay or onlay to fit your cavity perfectly. Finally, he bonds the inlay or onlay into your cavity. Once in place, inlays and onlays provide lasting support for your tooth.
CEREC® Technology
The CEREC® system (“Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics”) makes creating single-tooth restorations quick and easy. CEREC® technology allows full and partial ceramic crowns and inlays and onlays in one office visit. If your are having CEREC® restorations, you do not have to make multiple trips to our office or wait weeks for laboratory-crafted restorations. Instead, you can relax and watch television while Dr. Shlafer custom-crafts your tooth restoration. Thanks to CEREC® technology, you can leave our office with a fully restored tooth.
